An employer has certain reporting, withholding and insurance requirements for employees that are a bit different. A W-form, also known as a Wage and Tax Statement , is a form that an employer completes and provides to the employee so that they may complete their tax return. If your employer does not provide online access to your W- they must mail or hand-deliver your W-to you no later than January 31st.
